Tulips perform best in full sun, but they can also grow beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, where they often flower before the leaves fully emerge. Medium and tall varieties are suitable for flower beds, while shorter varieties work well in rock gardens and containers.
Soil
Plant in light, fertile and well-drained soil. Good drainage is important for healthy bulb development.
Care Feed with a balanced multi-purpose fertiliser until flowering. Keep the soil evenly moist and avoid allowing it to become too dry. Continue watering until the foliage begins to die back.
