Soil: Moist but well-drained

Improve the soil with soil improver and bone meal before planting. In heavy clay soils, add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole.

After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally. Top-dress with a general-purpose plant food as the last flowers fade.
